Capt. Delesdernier began operating his family's cattle boat at age 13, and he continues to navigate vessels to this date. 

He has been a professional ship
pilot for 38 years and has been CEO and President of the Pilot Association for 18 years.  He has been involved in the inland offshore and ocean marine operations his entire professional life.
